Nice bike ride with two station cafes which was closed. We started in Wolverhampton and cycled the 12 miles or so to Fey Pool. The start was very good terrain, but nearing the end it turned into rubble and mud, it was obviously being used as a scramble track by the locals. Not bad but the last 2 miles need sorted big time.

Nice safe route to cycle with the kids. If walking, can get muddy in parts so make sure you don't wear your best shoes!

love this walk towards the railway cafe but avoid walking towards oak lane as soon as you walk towards the scrap yard you are greeted by fly tipping and an angry dog that can jump the fence from it's estate and chase you on the public path defiantly would recommend avoiding that part of the path by all means

Lovely walk however cafe staff gave me the wrong change by £10! They had switched the coffee machines off at 2pm and appeared visibly irritated at customers being around. They were ushering customers out and warning them that they couldn’t sit for long outside as they’d want to be cleaning. Because of the pre-occupation of wanting customer gone, the lady gave me £7 change rather than £17 change- that is a lot of money to lose out on and I did not realise until it was too late.

I could understand if it was 4pm and near the end of the day but the customer service felt non existent. They were so visibly rushing to get home and consequently made me feel bad for even being there. Disappointed and out of pocket!

Very annoyed.

Like a small channel of the countryside cut through the suburbs. Greenery, birdsong and the occasional bit of wildlife holding the hum of traffic at arms length. Stay on it long enough and it transports you to green fields and blue skies between the urban sprawl and farmers fields nearby...

On the edge of the city of Wolverhampton in part this is a wealth of wildlife and opportunity for excercise, relaxation, stimulation, mental wellbeing. Over 50% of British roosting bat species, 70+ bird species, deer, badgers and more wildflowers than anyone could think might exist in an urban location including wild orchids. Stretching from Aldersley, past Tettenhall (Cupcake Lane café is excellent) Compton, Castlecroft and onwards to Womborne (café here also) this is a well maintained path that duly deserves it's position amongst a top 10 railway walks list.
Free to access at multiple points, 24/7 for ambles, rambles dog walks or cycling.

Lovely hour to walk through the snow today.
All the paths are well defined and signposted
