Stumbled across the Black Watch memorial travelling through. The bridge at Aberfeldy first caught our attention which was built in the 1700's also. The town was immaculate.
Only complaint was why didn't they put the lightening earth strap down the back of the statue ????

Walked down to the river, and came across the Black Watch Memorial statue. Surrounded by beautiful views. Close to Victoria Park and Aberfeldy Golf Course. A few benches to sit on and admire the countryside. Worth a wee visit

Set alongside the River Tay and Wade's Bridge it's in a beautifully scenic location. There is a plaque explaining about the Black Watch etc.

Just a walk around the area briefly, reveals there is more to see than just 10-15 minutes if time. The Riverside walk, both sides. The putting green behind, the timeless benches and general wades bridge. All little things to enjoy and return again in another season for a different experience.

Absolutly beautiful place would recommend to anyone great place to sit and have a picnic or just generally sit and relax.

Nice little stop and monument, with a lovely view of the river tay

Came round that corner of Aberfeldy and saw it so snapped a picture. Wasn't aware of what it was. I didn't take time to see if there were any details about it. No specific car parking
