Took a 5 year old here skating. The place is very run down and there was a number of teenagers skating the wrong way, racing at speed, causing a dangerous situation. The staff seemed to have no control. They were quite young too so the group seemed to have no respect for them. A number of parents made the the staff aware but nothing seemed to happen. It was a massive £33.60!! I can’t see how such a price could be justified when even safety is a low priority.

Took a youth group here recently. We used to come all the time, came back hoping to restart it. I won't. Whilst it was fun being in there alot has changed which has become a huge money grab. Entry has doubled since we last came, and it has to all be done online. Adding snakes, adding spectators plus kids support oh my goodness it's expensive.

Apartfrom that not much else to talk about, music wasn't great paid over song that was inappropriate for kids.

Overall we still had a great time skating around in circles for the night.

It’s pricier than Cannock and Telford but also has longer skating session which works out fine if you’re fit enough to stay longer.
The skates were the same standard as in other places and felt just as uncomfortable. Very strangely they also felt more slippery, not sure what’s that to do with but I struggled a little despite being a fairly experienced skater (nothing fancy, just straight skating).
Parking for up to 3 hours cost £2.
Cafe stuff polite but after I inquired about vegetarian options and deciding on having chips, the young man decided to fry my chips in the oil labelled “meat”… ????????u200d♀️

Overall a good experience, it wasn’t at all busy as we came on teachers training day, which meant a some kids might’ve been at school.

Used to love this place spending the majority of my youth and early adult free time there but although it has been modernised will never be as good as it was (or seemed) back then. Didn't help improve my review when they give parking fine for breaking down in the car park and having to wait 35 minutes for a mechanic.

Cashless!!! Toilets leave alot to be desired. Cafe is never open. Coffee machines broken. Caught some of the staff giving my teenage daughter dirty looks. No warm room anymore on "public skating times" the lady couldn't explain why or when they would be willing to open it. I'm guessing from the phrase "public skate" she means they only have the warm room open when there's a big event on. Only positive is the lovely gentleman who gives you your skates. I would just advise against this place, go elsewhere and have a nicer experience.

The toilets there are very wet and dirty. The equipments are good. You certainly have to check the time slot of your skating time because they do lots of ice hockey there when the ice rink is not open to the public. I had a really good time playing there.

We’ve come back yesterday to Solihull planet ice after a very long time (general public).

Great to see the familiar staff faces again; they make the visit experience welcoming.

So happy to see the cafe back open again and serving hot food.

The place wasn’t packed or over crowded; public using their common sense not sitting too close to each other. The general I saw had Masks worn, but not needed once on the ice skating.

Staff I saw where constantly cleaning the sides of the rink and being really helpful and approachable.

Even at this strange CoVID times; the customer service at this rink has still stayed on a high level.

One staff in particular Gemma made my son and I feel so welcomed. She was so helpful with other and answered any questions with a smile.

We will be coming again for sure

I take lessons here and it's really nice, the staff are really kind and good at helping you to challenge yourself to harder things. On public sessions, they are always open to help and always keep an eye for people who have fallen over. The food IS BUSSIN.
