Nothing was fresh ... almost expired food products ..

One iconic bridge.With the Gondola that used to go back and forth over the river Tees taking foot pasenger,cars bikes,anything from Stockton to Middlesbrough and return....In the old Days it used to run day and night .Now it's just a museum piece....sad.The two councils involved have let it come to this.

Same as everyone else, I’ve given it 4* instead of 5 purely because it isn’t in operation and appears that it hasn’t been for some time now.

Despite this it’s well worth a visit, I didn’t go into the visitors centre there instead I just looked at it and the surrounding buildings of it as well as reading the plaques but I was intrigued.

I hope one day they get this up and working but I won’t hold my breath.

The only reason for a missing * is the bridge is not open, and may not be for a long time. We stopped to take a look at the bridge which I've driven past many times but never stopped for a close look. With the bridge closed, there's a visitor centre and the staff we met clearly loved their job and very knowledgeable.

Great place to visit, there is a small centre on site, detailing the history of the bridge. Very interesting to see.
I once went to see a relative doing a bungee jump from the bridge, it is a regular event.

The Visitor Centre guy is amazing. Just a shame the Council dont realise how it needs to be made into a proper tourist attraction like.

Shame this place was closed when I went but it will re open near the end of january! I only know of it because of Tom Scott! Will review again when I go back and use it!
