Beautiful little church on the Thames waterfront. A church has been on the site in various forms for centuries.

I lived with my family in Park Cottage Battersea Church Road when the second world war began. When there were bad raids we sometimes had to go to the church for safety as we had no shelter at the house.
I must have been between 3 and 5 years old. The memories are still quite strong. I never realised what a grand history it has.

This is the most picturesque little church tucked away on the south bank of the River Thames sandwiched between modern apartment blocks, close to Battersea Square. Sit and read a book or newspaper on lovely benches while watching the River go by. There's a great little bright orange pop up coffee and snacks ţrailer in the grounds that serves great coffee and pastries. .

Wonderful Georgian building, lots of steps but there is a lift down to the crypt! I was there for a music workshop but could imagine this would be a great place to come to worship.

Closed when I tried to get in this time - lovely oldish church with Benedict Arnold burial crypt in the basement.
