Great Sunday lunch experience. Characterful building, friendly staff and Sunday menu has a good variety including an excellent roast.

Great menu and friendly staff. Good beer and wine selection. The restaurant is separate from the main bar and there is seating outside. It was a great place to visit.

We booked at short notice on Friday evening and they were extremely accommodating . Food was superb as was the service and welcome . We decided to book the following evening and yet again we were looked after extremely well and yet again food was superb . So we booked for Sunday lunch and we certainly weren't disappointed. The beef was perfect,the Yorkshires were huge and veg cooked to perfection oh and the roast potatoes were lovely and crispy . We both agreed that it was the best Sunday lunch we've ever had and we eat out on a Sunday regularly . The consistency was spot on and it's my biggest criticism of so many places that there's no consistency . Thank you all at The White Horse you made our weekend in Hampshire memorable for all the right reasons . Just a shame you've not got accommodation.

Attended for our nans wake, a celebration of her wonderful life and memories with family and friends, thank you to all staff who made it a perfect setting. Lovely food too!

Pretty much ‘spot on’. This visit was on a Friday lunchtime, not particularly busy. Very efficient and experienced staff in charge. High quality menu offerings…much greater variety to chose from than the norm ‘standard pub grub’. Very prompt service, very tasty, my choice liver and bacon (chose what you don’t get at home ????????). Strong ???? recommendation ????.

After getting excited to eat in this undeniably beautiful pub everything went south after the drinks were delivered. An hour and ten minutes to bring a rare steak that was full of fat, chewy and medium well. Returned to the kitchen whilst my wife ate her entire meal before yet again another disastrous steak returned to the table after a further 20 minutes. We left and whilst we never paid for the steak not even a complementary wine was offered or a genuine apology. So sad.
Picture attached is what a real rare steak ordered a couple miles up the road looked like and it only took 12 minutes to arrive tasted like heaven and service to die for. Thanks Hunters for reinstalling my faith in good service.

Excellent pub and great food. Staff very friendly, lovely atmosphere with traditional log fire places. Will definitely visit again

Went for a surprise lunch with a friend and we were not dissappointed.The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly.I would recommend The White Horse to anyone.
