They will always try to overcharge you for something. Staff are generally rude and will not acknowledge you waiting while they knob about doing something that can clearly wait until they're less busy

I will never be using this post office again.
I run a small business and pre-pay and print my postal labels online. Every time I take my parcels here, there is always 1 or 2 labels that 'won't scan', they tell me there is an issue with the QR code so I end up paying again for postage to save me going home and back again.
This never happens at any other post office.
This happened again last week, I did not pay for postage again and took to a different branch, they scanned it no problem at all. They are scamming people to make more money as they don't get a cut if you pre-pay your postage online!! Will never be using this post office again. Always a grumpy service and often close at random times during the day.

I use this branch all the time, especially over the last year, staff are friendly 24/7 and always bare with me since I post a lot of items, and they never rush me at all.
They're Post Office, not Royal Mail, a lot of people in other reviews are complaining about them not scanning or not being able to send through certain services but that is because of the company rules, not the staff.

As I waited in line, I overheard the following:
The customer needed to pay some sort of bill with a £17 postal order. The attendant said it was not possible to begin with, but then said he could do it but there would be an £8 fee.
The customer was from another country and unfamiliar with the UK postal system clearly because that is not how postal orders work.

I did not say anything, which is on me. But please beware - this post office along with many others literally make up their own rules and prices.

I have visited this post office many times as it’s my nearest. I have just been in to take a card for a stamp for USA. The same reception as usual. No smile, no please, no thank you. In fact a hand to say “give it here”. Total contempt for customers. Why do people do this job if they are so rude and obviously not enjoying it. Customer service training urgently needed for the staff.

Worst post office, they close early, staff is rude, they try to charge higher prices, I’ve sent an item on Saturday, it’s Monday and the item is still at the post office. I’ve called multiple times to ask why they haven’t shipped it out and they’re still not answering. I used a pre-paid shipping label on eBay and for some reason the worker made me change tracking numbers. If I could give 0 stars I would

Staff are there only to waste people's time. Went there with a prepaid package to drop off, they made me queue for 20 minutes, just to do nothing for me whatsoever. They weight the package, gave me a receipt and then told me to leave on the side, which I could have done in the first place as it was already weight and paid. Complete waste of my time and theirs, as well as the other people in the queue!!! Don't recommend this post office ever!! The other post offices are much better, more flexible and helpful.

Oh my...what A FANTASTIC POST OFFICE! The staff are extremely helpful, always smiling and attentive. I brought in several parcels and forgot sellotape and scissors. The staff member lent me the scissors and sellotape. I couldn't thank her enough. The lady then explained all the types of services they offer, when i asked. She was so focussed and knew exactly what products the post office had on offer. I was very impressed with her up-to-date knowledge. I wrote this review, because Chingford needs businesses like this local post office that serves the entire community. Thank you.
