Not been here for a number of months, the place is very clean and the service quick and with a smile. A very comfortable place to eat and drink. The food was absolutely delicious and made that bit more special by the team that served us. Will return again very soon, it’s a must go place if your near, very well managed pub.

My room was spotless, very clean, and comfortable with a lot of room. I had dinner here, and it was very good, no waiting. Service at dinner was excellent, and my hostess was very attractive. The location was right next to the road, and you wouldn't even know it, was very quiet. There is plenty of free parking. Thanks. Rick , June 18th, 2023

We stayed overnight while visiting family, we were in rooms 16 and 17. Lovely hotel but big let down with breakfast! Waited 45 minutes for breakfast. Poached eggs were hard. Mushrooms were dried and shriveled. Bacon wasn't cooked properly. Black pudding ovecooked. My granddaughter found a hair in her scrambled egg. Overall shocking! Cost me £41.48 and we couldn't eat it. Not happy and will not be recommending the food!

Clean, functional and efficient – ideal for the one night stay we were having. As it’s part of a pub, there’s also great pub-grub available for meals. Right on the main road for each access, though the only downside to this was some traffic noise. Would definitely recommend if you need a stay in the area.

Went for Sunday lunch and it was all superb. The place was clean and has a great layout. The team were all very helpful and friendly. Most importantly the food was spot on at a great price. Very difficult to beat this place, will definitely be going back. Top team, well done!

Terrible experience. The manager was rude and lacked any kind of customer care.
To be made to feel unwelcome for simply bringing business to an empty pub is something I cannot understand.
Luckily a local nearby pub were more than happy to take our business.

From our arrival to our departure we were made to feel like we were the most important people in the building. Every greeting was accompanied with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant offered a superb selection of dishes that catered for even the most discerning diner. Outside, the grounds are well kept with lots of tables and seating for those prepared to brave the sunny but nippy North East Weather. I think we can safely say that we will be back.

Redecorated very nicely, food was okay but the service was not,
Asked for water, sorry forgot asked for dessert menu but gave up after ten minutes. Nice place lovely location, friendly staff but customer care was poor.
