Had a meal delivered. Often eat from here and food is usually great. The food this time was not very nice. Sausages overcooked and the chips were like rubber. Update my son loved the sausage so there you go

Very oily rendition of fish and chips.

Was really excited to eat here as I read the shop comments here that they use local top quality fish, fry them fresh to order, and make their chips fresh everyday.

It was definitely made to order as I could hear them fry it while I waited, issue was that it was extremely oily. Both the chips and the fish. Drenched in oil and soggy. I ate it almost as soon as I left the shop so it wasn’t from being placed in a box for too long.

Other than vinegar and salt, extra cost for condiments as well.

Really wanted to love it. Perhaps others had better luck.

Exactly what I needed after climbing Ben Nevis: Best fish and chips I've ever had! Brilliant portions, well priced and quickly served with a smile! Definitely recommend.

Disgusting, bland food. Worst takeaway i've had in Scotland.

*edit
Let me explain my review further. Just because you cook your food in beef oil, doesn't make it tasty.
Disgusting in the way that everything we ordered was soggy and full of oil. The cheese you use on the chips is garbage.
Worst takeaway as I have eaten out quite a bit, as my full time job in reality is to be a food critic, and during my 1 month visit to Scotland, and having travelled the entire coastline and inland, I can safely say that this is the worst takeaway I have had.
Nothing could have been advised as we ordered food to be delivered. Yes, you could say this was not a fair advantage on your part, but regardless, the food had no flavour. The gravy, the chips, the chicken, the fried scampi (which also smelt very fishy - a sign of old fish) the sticky date pudding etc. were all bland. I take my reviews very seriously and only find myself writing one should the food stand out - good or bad.

Always eat out of here, the blackpudding is just the best but unfortunately tonight the batter was bit over done. Chips are definitely the tastiest in the fort! Delivered always quick and food still hot. The curry sauce is also the nicest. As a local I find it hard to believe some of the comments on here. I've ate in chippies up n down the country and this is one of the best...

Disappointing, to be honest. Haddock and chips X2 with two cans and two sauce sachets was £26(ish) and although the fish was nice enough (if rather small for the price) the chips were very poor. Not greasy as other reviews have said, just very gnarly bitty "end cuts", very few "whole" chips among them, and strongly suspect they were reheated from lunchtime too.

It saddens me to know that this chippy has made its way into my #1 worst chippy I have ever had the displeasure of sampling. They do not serve any cod but this is forgiveable, The haddock that was served had a very strange orange hue and the smell and taste brought on a sense of nausea that I have never quite experienced. The chips were insipid and suspiciously redolent of oil reused many times over. I could not finish the meal. I expected more from a chippy with such astronomical pricing. Last but not least, both the fish and chips seemed to be swimming or should I say drowning in an ocean of reused oil. I could not eat more than a morsel of the fish, the rest was binned. The chips, I just about ate after dousing them with ketchup and Mayo. The best part of the experience was leaving the establishment.
