Worst bangali cook they have once u ate there garlic cream u will never ever taste other garlic cream the worst they have by there hand made and chili sauce also they prepare by themselves

Clean and spacious room, big comfortable bed. Great for exploring Cardiff area, castles and coast. Sharon and Gerald were exceptional hosts, lots of local knowledge on places to visit. Breakfast cooked to order with great care and attention. A wonderful six day stay in glorious sunshine. Missing the singing now we are home. Thank you Steve and Jane x

Liked: Good level field- easy access to electric hook up points.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Toilets and shower room clean and although quite old, did everything you need.
Very basic and no frills. Ideal for a one night stay. Bus stop just outside entrance to Barry, Cardiff.

Liked: Good location for Barry Island. Friendly , welcoming staff.Helpful on the telephone before our stay.
Easy to get to the stadium on either bus/ taxi which is around 30 mins away.

Disliked: Toilet blocks, not the best. Needing a bit of an update . Men’s toilets needing a new toilet seat in one cubicle, cracked shower tray.
Close to a busy road which we were aware of before our stay, and did cause some disturbed sleep .
Could do with additional signage by traffic cone, on opposite side of entrance to prevent driving past .

Liked: Exactly what we expected, nothing more, nothing less.
The ground was soft which was to be expected with the amount of rain over the last week.
Gerald was very helpful.
Read reviews.
Yes, Toilet & shower block outdated but very clean and usable.
Road noise, but didn’t bother us and certainly not enough to stop me sleeping.

Great location for visiting Cardiff & Barry.
Thank you for the stay.

This hotel is a Royal Jewel of a place to stay in the heart of Barry. If you're visiting Barry/Barry Island or need a place to stay before heading to Cardiff airport for a flight; Then DONT look anywhere else to stay. Sharon & Gerald make you feel very welcome and at ease as soon as you walk through the doors. Rooms are spacious, extremely clean and pleasantly decorated with that homely touch that other hotels lack these days. Nothing is too much for these two lovely people and they go above and beyond to ensure that your visit with them is comfortable and relaxing.
Gerald is amazing in the kitchen and breakfast was more than satisfactory. Already looking to book a stay here again and would recommend this hotel with high regard time and time again.

Liked: Owners were really friendly and couldn't do more to help you out throughout your stay.
Pitches were spacious so you didn't feel overcrowded at all.

Disliked: Toilet and shower facilitates are quite dated.
Water pressure and hot water could be limited in the showers so not the best experience.
Site sits on a junction of a roundabout so can be quite noisy with traffic.

Liked: My wife and i have been camping across Europe for the last 30 years, sometimes as a couple, sometimes as a family and sometimes as an extended family group.
Never in all this time have we experienced customer service as we enjoyed here - the number of favourable experiences we experienced at Vale Park were so unexpected and kind that it would be unkind to the hosts to mention (for fear they would be expected to repeat the same for all).
Some of the negative reviews are factually correct; the toilets are old and clean, there is some road noise. How many sites we have seen that have modern facilities that aren't clean, how many have no road noise in perfectly convenient locations? However despite this - from my perspective they completely miss the point about what Vale Park is.
Vale Park is a family friendly site, in a beautiful location and i very much look forward to returning. Thank you!

Disliked: Negative reviews - as i've said they completely miss the point.
if you value customer service as it should be - there is nothing to dislike....

Absolute lovely place with lovely owners very friendly. Great to stay with a a caravan motor home. If not they also have a hotel with lovely rooms comfy beds plenty of tea milk sugar towels provided. Reasonable prices for meals and beers breakfast I never had but they will make you what you like and looked great. cereal cereal bars coffee orange juice lovely sun trap of a garden to relax with an ice cold beverage. Il be back hopefully with the family next time
