It is easier to get an Audience with the Pope than ring and speak to a Police officer.
Website fancy yes,phone numbers NONE!
Not even an email address for Stations.

101 which we are all encouraged to use is laborious and often takes ages before an answer .......all in all very poor service.

There friendly and courteous, very approachable but sometimes they lack the appropriate information when asked. Their skill-set seems to be limited by rank or duty officer knowledge. Leaving policing to the community only leads to further incorrect assumption's, leading to pointing the finger at the wrong person!

Updated my comment to reflect the true issue of how they operate..
After a year of seeing total and utter incompetence, I have to drop my rating to one star, protecting corrupt colleagues is never the way forward!
Protect the reputation of the force, that's understandable but to spread distrust and lies is honestly, unforgivable.
Trying to criminalise an innocent person because you've mistaken there identity just to protect your reputation is criminality itself.
I personally would be embarrassed to work for Durham Constabulary!

I sent a email about a clamped car outside my house before Christmas. The car is still there but worse no reply what so ever from the police.

First time in over 40?year asked for their help and nothing, wont bother them any more as a waste of time ????

I contacted the police hate crime team for Consett yesterday. I had been accused of stealing my blue badge and of looking fit and healthy on a face book site. I have heart disease kidney disease arthritis and fibromyalgia. The police came the same day to see me, the officers were brilliant and kept me up to date with what's gone on. Now the remarks have been taken down whithin 24 hours, saving me a lot of stress. Please please pass this on to the chief how good his officers have been.

Why are you not investigating Starmer for breaking lockdown!???? How strange the Police commissioner is Labour. Apparently attended with Starmer and found not proven. What a surprise!!!!

all police do is take money from the public l add my car stolen my family member found it by rights police should phone me when got car as there was no damage but no police taken it way and charge me £150 but by the law l should been ask if wanted take car away my self as it was drive able but police only care about ripping the public off not helping them

Policing is at its lowest level ever certainly in my lifetime I'm going ask my local MP why do we pay taxes for a society we're there is NO law and order anymore its like living in a third world country and trying to get the police on the phone is like trying to get the wizard of oz
