Quite friendly but locked in. Such a pity for a true old fashioned public house.

Stayed here whilst working in London for a few weeks. Staff looked after me very well with a lovely breakfast in the morning and dinner in the bar every evening. Clean, no-frills room.

A proper pub! Back in the 'seventies "The German's" was my local (in the 'fifties and 'sixties my grandad even had his own chair at the bar - nobody else ever sat in it as he spent every hour of opening time in it!). Visited a few weeks ago and the only thing that had really changed was the staff - but the new ones are just as friendly! It acquired its sobriquet "The German's" after its first landlord, Louis Spielman, who ran it from 1891 to 1895.

Excellent little bar, excellent bar staff. Chrissy has just won the silver award for the pub. Des the Owner is it true gentleman.

Greatly welcoming all the diverse people of the world ☮️⚕️???? peacefully.
Near Enfield Lock Railway ???? Station & TfL Buse stops. Accessible by Bicycles and cabs/cars easily.
