The spot is excellent for a family day out. It's really a different experience. However, be sure to pack your own snacks and water since the location is too far from the main road and there is no food restaurant or toilet. The salt lake filled with emerald green water. Both banks of the channel are completely encrusted in salt that almost looks like a layer of snow. Another attraction is it's in the middle of the dessert. The road is not in good condition. It's completely open to the public. Nearby attraction is fossil dunes.

Good experience!!!
Driving is like a desert experience. Amazed with the place. You can really enjoy it. Have to visit before sunset.

Interesting place to visit. This is an off-road site. Location is a bit tricky since it cannot be located using google map or waze. However, the first point of the road can be tracked down using both apps then just follow the dirt track along the power lines. Do not enter on the fenced area. Google map and waze will point you that the road is there but will keep rerouting the moment you follow it. Road is alright with small cars too but until outside the lake premise, continue by foot just few steps up.

-ROAD: checkout my attached pic for road cause google or waze are misleading.
-when you reach , walk about 3 minutes to see the lake
-Warm water like oily and better not to walk in
-nice place for taking pictures
-100 minutes from Dubai and 45 minutes from abudhabi

Very interesting place to go to if you would like an adventure. We didn’t do our due diligence about reviews and thought the location was really marked well with signage. We navigated via Google maps and almost fell short of going to the place as we couldn’t find any signs. We reviewed what was noted in several reviews that the location is exactly where it notes not to enter / danger. As we came into the area it was actually really nice but was expecting a little more. The family did enjoy.

This place was one of the hidden gem in UAE that you must visit! ????????✨ It was soooo AMAZING!! - This place is located in ????Al Wathba Salt Lake, Abu Dhabi - and - Yes, it’s hard to find the exact location in google map, but dude! When you see it! You could only say “WOW! Ang Gaaandaaa!! Promise!! And I want to go back!!!!!

You can observe the salt lake with crystalized salt particules , lake was so clear.
Place was interesting to visit.
Only thing that make the place to have 4 star is the road to that place needs a 4x4 vehicle to reach.
Not much crowded place you can take your own pace to take professional photos without interaction.
Worth to visit.

A perfect camping place with friends and family.
Quite atmosphere, proper gazebos and BBQ stands. You can even do bonfire and camp here
