Al Zafranah park located at the junction of airport road and muroor road near the big round about and Toyota showroom is a huge area of lush green scape in a triangular shape in Al Bateen.
The park is open 24X7 and guarded by security round the clock. It has big dense trees of manila tamarind, date palm, Indian jujube and other flowering trees.
When I visited the park in April, the manila tamarind trees were fully loaded with ripe pods and could not resist but pluck a handful. It reminded me of my childhood days.
It has vast open green spaces to spend hours and concrete gazebos for families to sit in the shade and enjoy nature's company.
There is a central rest room building located in the middle of the park.
Ample of parking space is available around the park.
Birds like doves, sparrows, pigeons, bulbuls, parrots and myna can be seen sourcing their food in the greens and chirping.
A morning walk in the park is so blissful and calming for your mind and soul.
There are concrete stands at many places for barbeque and concrete bins to dispose the burnt coal.
What I found missing in this park is there is no cycling track, no walking track, no walkways and no kids play area.
Its a lush green thick carpet of grass.
The park is open 24 hours but early morning before sunrise and evening after sunset would be the best time to visit to avoid the heat.
Its an ideal place to get peace of mind and serenity.

It's our favourite destination after work relaxation , usually we go there in the .I'd if the week for bbq or dinner and excersise, I love it it's quite and nice and ear to everything

I want to share my experience with others so that they will not have what we had. First of all, the parkings are not free and visitors have to pay for the entire visit. Secondly, the parking area are really crowded and good luck to have any parking even if it is very far from your place. We parked our cars parallel to the parking area ( as we saw many cars did that ) but after few minutes we received a fine of aed 500 for all our cars!!! This is a place where you visit to have a nice time with friends not to pay 2000 dirhams fines!!! Thirdly, our kids played football and the security said it’s not allowed!!! There are many others parks that worth visiting in Abudhabi and surely this park is not one of them.

Love this park, not crowded at all. So clean and quiet. It’s right in front of my home and I visit it almost everyday for a walk.

Nice park, not crowded
Free entry, barbeque area, washrooms, free parking. Children's play area is not there. Lights are very less
