Relatively small museum but with an excellent focus on the locality. A number of coin hoards on display - Knutsford and Malpas. Great dioramas of the development of the town shows how important the now covered streams were to its early days.

Went for a walk around on a cold March afternoon. This was a nice little museum, one that we hadn't even known existed the day before. Well worth a visit.

Congleton Museum is low on space, but they use it very well! Lots of information about different periods, as well as how we know about these times in Congleton's history. There is an interactive aspect to most of the exhibits and it would be very engaging for children as well as generally accessible to people with limited mobility or those who use a wheelchair. There is a small shop in the entrance, well-stoked with history books, postcards, small gift items and calendars, and the volunteer staff were very helpful! I definitely recommend a visit to this small, but precious, gem!

Amazing museum, can't believe I had never been before. The museum is only small, however, the artefacts and information that is in there are really interesting, and have been displayed in a very nice way. The gentleman who was working there was very friendly and a fountain of knowledge and added to our experience.

I would really recommend making a visit to the museum.

Brilliant and interesting, I didn't have enough time there and will definitely have to go back. very interesting artifacts and has plenty of local history.

5 stars is not excessive. If you enjoy history, definitely visit. Free entry (donations welcomed). Two rooms took us about an hour, and I wished we'd had two hours. Several coin hordes, some jaw-dropping Bronze Age artifacts. Detailed local history that altered the history of the UK. Very kid friendly, assistance animals only. There's a stair lift, but I don't know if it is wheelchair accessible.
