A really nice spot if you’re along this section of the Taff trail for looking out onto Llandaf weir. The strong flow of the river makes you appreciate how strong the current must be in the Taff and to be mindful of that. There’s a bench here which is good to put your feet up for a bit. There’s another viewpoint (northwards) close by to this one which also has a bench.

Nice view of the overflow of waters of the shallow dam on the Taff River near Llandaff Cathedral.. Owesome feeling..

The entire Taff trail is absolutely beautiful and this is a lovely place to stop appreciate the Weir and have a nice cup of coffee from the local vendor. The bridge is also fantastically fun as you can feed it swaying and bouncing as people walk across up there are always people playing with their dogs and just around the corner is a horse farm for Sanctuary where you can always hear the winning of the horses. There are some large field to have a beautiful picnics on and even some tucked away wilderness beaches just along the edge of the path if you're looking for some privacy

The weir us always interesting and is on the Taff Trail from Brecon to Cardiff Bay. All very scenic.
