Just off A9 and short walk from to own.
Welcomed as we pulled in to hotel and well looked after from that point. Mark and Vicky were excellent but Davie deserves as special and additional mention for looking after our dogs.
Room was fantastic over looking the water, roomy and comfortable. Bed and pillows were spot on.
Food was top notch, amazing food, had food envy from wife's Scallops. Service in the restaurant was top notch as well. The polish lady was ace and the lady behind the bar did an exceptional Irish coffee with whipped cream.
Would have no hesitation to stay again. All on the staff should take a bow, you were amazing with us and our dogs.
Great staff, great location and room and food that was off the chart.

We spent one night here while on our honeymoon tour of Scotland, and we wish it had been more! The castle and grounds are beautiful, the rooms are luxurious and comfortable (not stuffy at all), and the bed was the most comfortable bed we found our entire trip. The staff and service were excellent, breakfast was excellent. It was an easy walk into town for dinner. Highly recommend, we'd love to return on a future trip.

We stayed overnight for a special birthday, the hotel staff made it very memorable with a few kind treats. Would definitely return, perfect location, stunning views, gorgeous grounds, fabulous facilities and amazing friendly staff make your stay worthwhile thanks so much Fonab ❤️ Our concierge was knowledgeable of the area and gave us a tour and history of the castle and made us so welcome the moment we arrived!! Truly relaxing and memorable stay.

Excellent location and service. Seriously FINE dining. Even if you don’t stay here, at least go to dinner! Expert chef overlooking the river. Great walking over picturesque bridges to town with shopping and cafes. Golf course nearby. The spa is fantastic with an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a sauna and steam room. Our room was main level with a patio and separate living room and two bathrooms, yet very affordable. We were glad we stayed at least a few nights.

Had a magical stay at Fonab Castle from the minute we arrived until we reluctantly had to depart. After checking in we made use of the spa and pool before dinner in 1892, then a stroll across the dam to Pitlochry followed by a relaxed drink in the bar. The Castle room was stunning and well worth the money. Am already planning the next trip but will stay longer and book a table in the Sandeman restaurant. FYI there's a parade through Pitlochry every Monday evening (over the summer) of pipers and Highland dancing.

The hotel is stunning and is situated overlooking loch faskally which gives it an amazing view from the bar and restaurant. Food was great if slightly expensive, but while the restaurant was not at all busy, we felt almost entirely abandoned by the waiting staff for long periods. Being constantly harassed is not great service, but there is a fine line between allowing customers space to enjoy their meal and abandoning them. It was however the only real negative we experienced while visiting.

Lacks atmosphere as seems to have priced itself beyond what is reasonable and so mostly empty during the day. Drinks very expensive. Setting and views are only saving grace.

Hotel was an absolute 10/10 throughout, namely receiving fantastic service from India, in the cocktail lounge who made me her first Gin Gimlet, which was among the best i’ve ever had, i also ordered some of the house cocktails which were again, flawless, not a single fault to find with the hotel, a completely enjoyable stay top to bottom, and a tour of the place at check in to boot, an unmissable opportunity for anyone passing on the A9! thanks to all involved.

p.s. pool and spa facilities were a complete life saver in the 25 degree heat this past week! brilliant!
