After wrongly addressing some parcels with my old address in Barnard castle .. I was horrified to find the house was unoccupied and had been delivered MY MISTAKE ..so after trying to ring ( we all know this is futile ) I collared a post lady called Sara in Morrisons carpark ,who had probably just finished a very difficult and heavy workday ..she was amazing took the details of a parcel I was due to be delivered there again and all in her own time sorted it so I could change the address ..mark Aparantly is gonna deliver it today to me ..HOW amazing is this ? Don't kick em ,don't call em please ,they are working through a very difficult time hard working conditions that change all the time ,snow wind rain blistering summer days ,to get you your post under very difficult management which is forever changing the rules and still hanging on in there ...we should treasure them and support them ...
I myself are very impressed so give em a break ...THANKS GUYS your doing a great job ..there lucky to still have you hope it all works out for you

Absolutely appalling service. Several times my mail has been redirected and now a 70th birthday card and present have willingly not been delivered. The email received today after a complaint last night when I was assured that it would be delivered this morning stated it has not been attempted delivery by request. This is absurd. If only there were other options to use!

It has become an absolute nightmare having anything delivered here at all. The problem for my dog and I starts early morning, thinking the post here will one day be efficient and delivered all at once! As other reviews have mentioned the postal workers round here seem to not really enjoy their jobs, which are strung out until at least 2pm! Finally after waiting an eternity for the item to be delivered it is smashed and broken beyond repair! Not a good advertisement for her Majesty’s Royal Mail. There is also a lot of unnecessary litter around the sorting office! I totally agree with all the posts on here! Worst service I have ever experienced in all the places and countries I have ever lived! ????

Missed a delivery despite being in, as postman was like a secret agent, so called a couple of days later to collect as instructed on the card, only to find branch closed till 10.30 due to staff shortages. So called again at 11.00 to find new notice saying closed indefinitely. Rang the brach which said number not in service. Had no option but to book redelivery on the app, which means some important parcels miss an important birthday. Thanks Royal Mail. You are the only delivery service that fail time after time to deliver.

After chasing round trying to find the times they were open, I had the delight of encountering 2 Royal Mail staff who were unbelievably condescending, patronising and outright unprofessional.
During the height of this Covid crisis, their hours were pretty much the same, now its easing off, they operate ridiculous hours to "stop redeliveries"??

What even does that mean? All I got told was that "everyone is in the same boat"..... Well news flash, no they're not. As a non medical key worker who has carried on throughout lockdown, through everything, I have not stopped and all I wanted was to collect equipment that would make my physical life easier.

Solidarity and understanding are something these people here are lacking. Instead I got bigoted remarks and arguments from people who really hate their jobs. Well quit!!

Our local post office is lovely, ran by 2 lovely staff as I'm sure others are, however, the Bishop Auckland sorting office is the reason I'd not feel bad about privatisation. Pretty disgusting in this day and situation........Thanks for nothing.

Just dropped off a parcel to be told "we don't do receipts here". There was no scan of the barcode or anything. I await another royal mail disappearing trick.

What's the point. Opening hours make it very hard for working people to pick anything up .
