Former student here. Massive campus and honestly the best school ever. So many facilities and opportunities to try something new. The most friendly, international, and wholesome community I’ve ever been part of. To this day I’m still friends with many students there. School lunch is freshly made and very tasty. So many Programmes to take part in and unique lessons like DT (design and technology), drama and music. There are even orchestras to take part in. Countless extra curricular activities and world class teachers. The best and most fun years of my life. Thank you!

Great new headmaster. Some teachers are wonderful. Some need to really work on how to deal with children. Can improve on providing more trips for the children, and better care for the kids during trips, and make them feel like part of a family. As children hit senior years, there’s isolation. Have to add more shades in the open space as it gets very hot here from April onwards. With more shaded areas, kids can sit outside. Overall, school is great. If there are issues, head master and head of prep steps in. Working on tackling bullying. If all teachers can show care, compassion and motivate children, Cranleigh’s GCSE standing would be highest in the city, because many children here are very smart and intelligent. They just need that motivation and feel as part of the school community. Younger kids do. But years 8 and up, more children’s involvement is lacking! Some great teachers have left the school. Hope those types of teachers are added back in the school. School still hasn’t got a school bus. That would help in many marriages as picking and dropping has become the regular routine for one of the parents, not allowing them to focus on other things. Have had many great memories here! My child has achieved excellent grades, especially in the classes he enjoys. Therefore, teachers have a bigger role to play, for the child to get highest marks. Some teachers are slackers. All kids need is a fun environment and motivation. They need to feel happy. If you are coming to this country, remember that holidays are all based on local culture and during Ramadan, school is run for half of it’s usual time, for one month, even though you still pay the same for each term. There’s no library or cubicles where you could study. Cranleigh does not have after school library provision. Summers are very, very hot here. Cranleigh has built a great reputation in such a short time. Good luck to everyone!

I’ll be brief: while there were many ups and downs, my children received a world class education, one that they will both remember for the rest of their lives and will derive benefits from for many years to come. We wish them well and know that they’ll continue to keep Cranleigh Abu Dhabi the best private school in Abu Dhabi, if not the entire UAE.
