Excellent library, good choice of reading material, and plenty of room. A lady staff member made me feel really welcome, as this was my first visit - I don't live locally.
Intrigued by the life size statue of a classical gentleman outside, whose garments leave nothing to the imagination ????

Nice library lots of things for children to do. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of books. Good variety of books.

My review is from before the lockdown, but the staff are helpful and there is a very large collection of books to borrow and they also have some very inexpensive sales for old stock. Plenty of computers for the public but you fo need to register first obviously. There is a lift for those unable but wanting to see the second floor and there is disabled parking right out the door and access for wheelchairs

I use the computers regularly, can't complain, it's free. The building is nice and the atmosphere is good. There is a toilet here that is kept clean. The top floor is however a bit like a trampoline, but I presume it is safe. There is a lot of community activity at this library with plenty for the kids and a good kids area in a place that is easily supervised and away from the study areas (noise). So a good library.

On the plus side:-
Books are good condition.
Building is clean, bright condition.
Good accessibility to computers.

On the negative side:-
Books need to be put back on the shelves more carefully. Often the alphabet begins again - most annoying !
Staff need to not be in a rush to close down the automatic machines when home-time is looming. It wasn't customers who wanted these machines - we were much happier going to the desk to have our books stamped and having a visible reminder of when we need to return them.
Staff need to stop having private conversations in public - not all of us want to know the intimate details of their home life.

I have begun to use Heath Hayes and Burntwood libraries now - so much more friendly !

The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I can always find what I need. A lovely relaxed atmosphere.
