Nice place to walk around besides lake. Can see some of the city view and mangrove forest opposite side of the lake. Lots of fishes in the lake visible because of crystal clear water of the lake.

Pleasant 5 km walk from Dolphin Park to Eastern Mangroves Promenade with good rest stops along the way. The stops have chairs, simple exercise gear and regularly-spaced baqalas where you can get a quick bite or refreshing drink. Some stops are riverboat stops and have nets you can lie on, just above the water. Sometimes when the water between the boardwalk and the mangroves is much cooler than the pavement, a cool wind blows during your entire hike, keeping you comfortable and cool even during the mid-day sun. Best to start at Dolphin Park so you end up having a nice snack or drink at the Promenade (after Anantara Resort & Spa). You can also hire boats, paddle boards or kayaks at the Promenade. If you like water, check the forecast for high tide to ensure it’s a bit windy when you do your hike. Must trek this long boardwalk at least once if you live in Abu Dhabi!

Great area to relax with the family... they designated spot for BBQ... not all areas allow open fires... it's huge and ample parking....

After the upgrade, the fence was changed. The metal bars are small with spaces in between that may trap a child's hands or fingers. The walkway was widened and spacious. They might consider putting a small hedge along the cycling track so walkers don't get on it.
