Happened upon the centre today, above the library in the Angel building, completely by chance. Free to get in, with free parking. Normally I'm with family on the beaten track, so it was a great discovery and I will visit again. The centre has dedicated volunteers, who are kind and helpful, they're so friendly. The exhibition area is huge, there's a flat bottom boat, an Ancholme find, temporary exhibits, classes, crafts and activities are available. Check the opening hours, it's a fascinating place worth a trip, there are so many interesting facts and pictures and physical artifacts. The jewel in Briggs crown. ????

Unexpected little gem in the centre of town. Lots of interesting local information & very well set out. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in answering any questions.
