Firstly I'd like to say the man at the desk was lovely... but... the room was £400 with a double and 2 singles squashed in in you couldn't even swing a cat in it. The cleaners do not clean. They change the bed and bin that is all... thick with dust the floor was vile and we had to clean the bathroom before we used it. It was shocking!! We had no mirrors to get ready so when we borrowed one of many lined up the the hallway (don't know what they're doing there when people in rooms need them... a cleaner came in our room a number of times to take them even when we asked to borrow them! And we also asked for privacy and for noone to come into our room... but someone came in a number of times... so don't expect privacy... we had half a mattress on the double bed and a rolled up blanket down the side to act as the rest of the mattress... witch is shocking. The furniture was rotted and looked like it had been found outside and dragged in... the noise from the neighbours was unbearable and we all left absolutely shattered. Easily the worst hotel I've slept in. Oh and the parking... haha... two spaces and never anything on the street neither ????????u200d♀️ its mainly dropped curbs so can't park anyway. Wouldn't NOT recommend

Hotels not in good shape at all, decor needs an upgrade as soon as. Gentleman at reception was nice. Overwhelming smell of cannabis all throughout the hotel particularly at night assumedly when it’s being smoked. Bed was okay, duvet was thin as tissue paper. Will not be returning.

I stopped here after a long drive, I'd booked early in the day, contacted reception to enquire about late check-ins, the guy was very polite and explained everything clearly, he was also very understanding of my situation, as soon as I arrived he came out to welcome me and was by far one of the best hosts, if not the best I've ever dealt with. A huge thank you to you, you're a diamond!

The hotel, it's not a brand new hotel, it's also not charging you £100 for a single room! Yes it has decor from the 80s but I had an amazing shower with clean facilities, I slept in a very comfortable bed and I will 100% be staying here again when I'm nearby! I cannot recommend this place highly enough, superb, thank you!

This place was recommended on a website and said it had parking, two spaces for 15 rooms there is a high risk you won't get to park off road outside the hotel . Also this is a place we're people live all week long and you have a massive chance that you will be shoved in the attic room up three flights of stairs . For £70 I'm sorry I'd keep on looking ????????

Not very expensive, but extremely basic and, more importantly, not very clean.

Budget single was so small that only one person could stand in the room if the door needed to be open. Shared family room was ok, but one of the beds was awful; £75 would be just about ok, but didn't seem worth £100.

While amenities were basic, which is fine for a cheap room, it just wasn't clean. Top of cupboard clearly hadn't been cleaned for weeks, if not months, which isn't a good sign for the rest of the place. In the shared room, one of the beds had some loose dirt on it -- could be brushed off, but still...

Myself and a friend booked for 2 nights at the Southend Inn hotel, my room was quire large with a double and single bed but it was very poorly kept and very stained in places. Net curtains didn't cover properly as only half a curtain and cut roughly. Sink plughole was rusty in the bathroom room, towel rack rusty. My friend was even more unlucky as her room was the size of a cupboard and very dark. Her sheets were stained and neither of us actually slept in the bed but on top. But the most awful thing, despite the sign in the room to advise against smoking, was the strong smell of weed. I know this is a 2 star hotel but you shouldn't have to put up with this so we checked out after 1 night and booked somewhere else for tonight. No one around to complain to. The guy that checked us in was lovely but this is somewhere to avoid I'm afraid.

First of all, the beds all smelt of urine. It was as if someone had wet the bed previously and the people never chose to wash it after. Secondly, the smell of the whole place was of cigarettes mixed with the urine, it was totally nasty. Another thing is that the shower had hair in it, hence why none of the sand that came off after the seaside trip actually drained down after. Also, the beds were very uncomfortable and as a whole it was not worth the £160 I spent on the 3 rooms. Appauling.

I didn't dislike this hotel but all I'm gonna say is you get what you pay for. I've paid less for nicer accommodation, but subsequently I've paid more for worse or the same quality. It was booked last minuet and on a budget, but all I'll say is I'm not gonna stay here again unless told to do so by my boss. Very good location and very close to the sea front but nothing open or serving like a normal public house would.
