Popped in on the off chance for dinner. It was full but we were seated and served before we expected.
Food and service were exceptionally good and the location was perfect.
Highly recommend a visit, we will be back, thank you Duke on the Test team.

The place and the food was lovely. But disappointed with the service we encountered our main course arrived at our table and about 8 minutes later we were asked if everything was OK with then I asked do we get vegetables with our main. And the waitress then went back to the kitchen and got our vegetables by then our food had gone cold. As it was our first visit to the restaurant as a present from our Son and Daughter in law. we are not the sort of people to complain so I've wrote this review hoping it will help you perhaps to rectify this sort of thing from happening in the future to perhaps myself or other customers thanks Mr Lacey

We had a great stay with our toddler and baby after visiting Peppa Pig World which is a 15 min drive away. The room was clean and we loved the terrace although there was a funny smell lingering as you stood on the terrace which wasn't pleasant. The following morning we had breakfast which was delicious served by a lovely lady who was really friendly. Only dissapointment was, check out was 10am and when requesting a late check out (12pm) we were asked to pay £30 additional. The room itself was £185 for 1 night which wasn't exactly cheap. Anyway overall good stay.

Dropped in on our way through, not been there before and found it delightful. Staff were very nice and helpful, environment was very cosy and nice without being overly 'fancy'. Didn't order food but it looked and smelt AMAZING! Will definitely be back soon to try it out. Lovely outside seating area which likely gets busy in the warmer months so recommend booking ahead. Facilities were exceptionally clean and they had easy access (and facilities) for disabled visitors.

Went for lunch just had starters and dessert. Food was good, well presented. Great choice of gins and nice atmosphere. Would have given 5 stars but they messed up my dessert. Need to book if you want any table in the conservatory area.

A walk along the Test rounded off by a proper hearty Sunday roast at The Duke. Doesn't get much better than that! Excellent company with tasty, plentiful and well presented food and very good local beers (I would recommend the Duke) plus a good selection of wines. Three of us had the vegan roast option plus one roast beef, all perfect and packed with flavour. Staff engaging and attentive and really contributed to the whole experience. We felt valued despite a very busy pub. Fair to say we really enjoyed our visit and will be back. Thank you!

Went for a lunchtime meal with friends. Service was good and the prices didn't seem bad until the food arrived. Very small portions - two mouthfulls and it was almost gone (Chicken Supreme)! Took me back to the start of the nouvelle cuisine days when you got what you thought was a small starter that turned out to be a main course. Deserts were much larger than mains.
Much better value places around in my opinion.

The first visit after this pub has been refurbished. It's been really well done. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. Great menu, and the standard of food was good.
Sadly, the smell of sewage/drains is still strong when you're visiting the toilets and the bottom half of the car park. I guess that it's a drainage problem with being on the river. It's such a shame as it's otherwise a really pleasant place to visit.
