South Ruislip is basically two stations side by side. One is the Transport for London Central Line and the other is Chiltern Railways line from London towards Birmingham and Worcester. Today (June 2023) I travelled on a local Chiltern Railways stopping service from London Marylebone to South Ruislip. The National Rail side has two platforms with a bare minimum of facilities and certainly shows its age. Steps down to exit from the northbound platform had missing tiles in places, and generally the place is in need of a coat of paint. The TfL side, as befits the greater number of stopping trains, seems to have been cared for a lot more.

Neither of the platforms have any step free access and Chiltern trains stop here every hour in each direction. Shelter and seating here is basic and the station has a few ticket machines and ticket barriers.
