Easy to find and use, on the Horsham to Peterborough Thameslink line with half hourly long trains, good facilities, ticket office, DMI, help point, oyster point and ticket machine however you can only access both platforms via the footbridge.

Basic station.
No toilets and office is closed in all but morning rush hour.
Staff are very friendly.

Good signage.
Small platforms mean only 5 carriages can open. Be warned as 12 carriage trains will stop here but plenty of notice is given.

No rail staffs early morning, there's a machine to buy/collect pre ordered tickets. Also, station has a short platform, make sure you're in the correct train compartment to exit. There's also a bridge to cross rather than underground

On 1st of August 2021 tried to use Ifield to get back home in London. There was a rail replacement service due to weekend works on the line, fair enough, however there was zero signage for where the rail replacement buses would pull up.

When I finally managed to find where the buses would pull up, I'd missed the last one and was left stranded in Ifield in the pouring rain.

The ticket machine was not working properly there was no human being that were work for the Railway is there a toll on duty if you're going to leave the stations unmanned please check the ticket machines regularly to make sure they are working properly

Remember to go to the front 8 coaches from Crawley as Ifield has a, short platform

reasonable service with a
part time ticket office, but what a polite,helpful member of staff,credit to the company, always cheerful

Not much busy station. Ticket machine available in front side of the station. Not all trains are stop here.
