The museum is highly overrated. Beautiful site with an interesting past, but the current castle is a replica rebuilt in the early 1900s by an aristocratic and (presumably innocently) self-aggrandizing family. They aggressively prohibit photos of the interior, likely because many would-be ticket buyers would skip the faux historical museum. Photos from the hourly car park are mostly adequate, but there's a cheaper ticket that lets you walk around the building. I'd recommend those options to anyone who's visited a real castle before.

This is the one of the best castle sights in Scotland. Castle is situated in really nice place. Costs £11 to get in or about £3 if you just want to cross the bridge to the castle. Stunning place.

Lovely castle in a lovely place. Would recommend coming for high tide if possible. It was quite busy and we had to park in a secondary lot (and pay for it). The whole castle took about an hour to walk through. Really enjoyed the set design to have certain rooms look period-specific but could have definitely done without the mannequins.

A very beautiful castle and worth a visit. Entrance to the castle costs 11 pounds. I do not recommend paying the entrance fee because there is not much to see inside. The castle is beautiful from the outside but not from the inside. A visit of no more than half an hour if you don't go inside.

We reached there around 5:30 pm, when the castle was closed. We spent around 30 min to walk around the external compound, which is very beautiful. Nice castle, calming surroundings and slow moving water. Car park is free after 5 pm, but toilet in the visitor Center will be closed after 5:30 pm.
Good stop!

Eilean Donan Castle rightly deserves to be named the most photographed Castle in Scotland, it is atmospheric and stunning, one of those Bucket list destinations.
Unfortunately the infrastructure around the site, is in my opinion over priced. So with this in mind, for a extremely popular attraction don't be surprised ???? you will need deep pockets here.
Three quid minimum parking costs to get to the Castle, cost to get inside. Food £7.50 for a cheese toasty. Obviously you can manage this cost and have a fanatic experience, as I did.

Great view, easy to find and park there, next to ticket counter you have toilets, cafe and place to relax. The castle stairs are a bit narrow so not suitable for all. View from top and also bottom are both amazing. There’s nothing great inside, so even If you don’t buy tickets and just enjoy the view from Outside and cafe should be good enough for a lot.

Visited here when passing on the way back from Skye.
The shop and cafe were closed but it was still lovely to be able to go outside and around the castle. The facilities did look lovely.
It was a shame the toilets were closed but it was understandable.
It was free for use to visit the outside after 5pm with free parking also.
We were blessed with gorgeous weather which made the place look stunning. This place had incredible surroundings and is worth stopping off to see.
