It was for Eid al Adha that I went there to look for sweets that was has a theme. Unfortunately, I was looking for a sheep Themed sweets like cakes, cupcakes or ball likes, there was none. They said it has to be pre ordered 2 to days earlier. But for flowers and dates, they have several stock.

Had the most wonderful first visit and definitely wouldn't hesitate to return. So cosy and warm from the outside and it lived up to that inside.
Service from the staff was really friendly, quick and efficient. The lemon and orange drizzle cake was delicious! All the other cakes and pastries looked beautiful too. The hot chocolate was beautiful as was the single espresso - really nice to know they use the local brand of John Watt & Sons. The menu of hot food and specials look amazing as well - would have loved to have stayed for more.
Really nice to go into the Fratry as well afterwards.

One of the loveliest places in all of Carlisle. Staff are super friendly, coffee is good and not too expensive and the building is incredible. Superb place to come and work, especially in the upstairs section (old chapel hall). Never tried the food but always looked great, on sunny days there is outside seating and when its a bit colder, sitting inside looking out of the windows at the cathedral grounds windows is always interesting. Wish I was in Carlisle for longer so I could spend more time here.

Outstanding cafe, friendly staff serving coffee and cakes with a smile. I was so pleased to find not just gluten-free; but a choice! The coffee was really good too.

Fresh ambience with a little history in the background. Loved the arched doors and windows . Yummy ginger cake with delicious frosting.

We have lunch here each time we visit Carlisle. The customer service is good and the food excellent. Seating inside or out makes for a pleasant environment. We've noticed outside seating at cafés in the town are often exposed to wind swirling around but Cathedral cafe offers some protection against that.

The menu offers most of the usual foods and we've always found it to be good quality. Breakfast is available until 11am I think then it's the lunchtime menu.

It always seems busy which might be an indication of it's value for money.

We come here regularly for the best scones in Carlisle. The breakfast is great and the food is always delicious, along with great coffee. The staff serving are really friendly and welcoming (especially the tall bearded man, Jordan). Great surroundings and lovely atmosphere too.

Such a neat place to stop for a coffee and pastry! The cathedral is right outside the cafe and you can sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. The employees were very nice and efficient.
