Ordered a taxi to take my Dad to Windermere station 10.15 on a Saturday morning, as we'd had a late night and didn't want to drive. The rental property where we were staying was accessed by a narrow road to the rear of the street address (Craig Walk). Descibed this to the guy who answered the phone, and assumed that his local knowledge would help him understand where we were. Just in case, we set a watch to both front and rear, but at 10.25am still no sign. Phoned the guy back, and was told he'd been and gone as he saw no-one at the address. He then asked if we were at the front of Craig Walk, so evidently hadn't been listening the first time. Said he could get back in 20 mins, but my Dad would have missed his train, so we had no choice but to drive him up. Very frustrating experience.

Lovely friendly driver, gave us lots of info on the area & good places to go. We were advised he’d be with us in 20 minutes & he was. I’ll save their number for when I’m next in the area.

Terrible service! Do NOT use!! The driver was extremely rude and grumpy, he called previous customers "retards" he was very rude about our dog and then we tried to use them again for our journey back to our campsite and he was very unhelpful, making me feel stupid for not knowing the exact location I was at. And then when I told him not to bother he all of a sadden wanted our business and said that he was at the location anyway! But we used another company instead because he was so rude. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

I got a taxi with Bowness taxis whilst on holiday, I can’t recommend them enough. Bang on time, really friendly, really nice and reliable, driver was very knowledgeable and gave us a mini tour of the lakes and told us lots of things to do and explore really top fella.

They were such a reasonable price and would 100% use them again.
They also take card which is really handy.
If you are in the Lake District USE THEM.

Do not use, rip off merchants! charged £5.95 for less than 1/2mile, the driver had a really bad attitude
