Not as much there as there used to be, thanks to council cuts, but those that remain part of the community centre contine to provide great support and service for a wide range of groups.

Free access to internet and on a Monday between 1pm - 3pm & Friday between 2pm - 4pm there is the Community Fridge which is like a food bank where you can get up to 3 days worth of food and also some tolietries, soap powder etc..

Very good place to go before Covid as they do so many different things such as they have a computer room for the public to use which is handy if you dont have broadband or internet at home, they do a youth club with plenty of activities but the best thing they eo right now is a food bank called the community fridge twice a week on a Monday 1pm-3pm and a Friday 2pm-4pm anyone can go and they give you a fair amount of stuff like bread, milk, toiletries, tinned soup & corned beef or pork, ham, pasta a few thing's out the freezer and a load more you can choose from including one girl who makes home made meals and her stovies are amazing best I've ever had. In these uncertain times places like this are a godsend and the people running it are Angels who need recognising, if you live in cardenden and need help with some food and they also have second hand clothes that could help someone out pop in and see for tourself I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Great building. Community Job Club runs every Wednesday upstairs in the IT suite between 2pm and 4pm. Run by Eddie, the local Welfare Support Worker. Help available with benefits, online job search, applying for SWF crisis or care grants, access to training, work placements, specialist disability services. Free tea/coffee and biscuits provided. Meet with like minded people looking for work in a friendly atmosphere. Help to learn basic digital skills. Free online internet access.

Brilliant to view and get a bit more information about the great John Thomson. Such a brave young man takin too young playing for the club he loved. Emotional.
