For the finest best tasting food is here for you to enjoy. Stopped off for a meal main course and desert during a recent visit to Golspie part of our Scottish 500 trip.
Food was as good as the Torridon experience a week earlier that good was the food but not at the same price of course.

If you ever find yourself wishing to eat in Golspie this is certainly the place to go only wish we lived closer as the experience was remarkable

Great place, lovely staff. Met head chef and our waitress, both helpful, chatty, great people. Kitchen opened a bit early since we were there, and we all got really good food, 3 different mains, big portions, rapidly. The small bar is cosy and nice. Would definitely go back! Thank you!

Really friendly staff, we visited twice in our week-long holiday. Once for Sunday lunch and for a meal the following Friday evening.
The Sunday lunch was a nice, cheap and cheerful meal and much enjoyed.
The Friday night, although the food was slow to arrive, was excellent and well worth the wait.
Friday was busy, with a great atmosphere in the pub even out of season and we were really happy with the fact that the place was dog friendly throughout and that the staff were so good with our GSD.

Popped in for dinner. Both of us vegan and nothing specific listed as it was Easter and a limited menu on. The owner, who was lovely, came and chatted to us and we ended up with an amazing burger and raspberries and whipped coconut cream for dessert. First class service. Beer was good too. ????

Visited for dinner. This is our second visit and we were not disappointed. The food was great, reasonably priced and the staff as usual very pleasant. After dinner we had booked to see Edwina Hayes, a fantastic folk singer songwriter. What a superb act and a lovely lady. She engaged the audience with funny anecdotal stories of her career. A great singer and a true entertainer. The owner Bruce, intends to offer entertainment nights including comedy and music. We live locally and haven't stayed, so we can't comment on the rooms. However the whole place has been recently refurbished to high standard. A great venue and a credit to Bruce, for a hands on commitment to make this place very special.

Great staff, lovely bar and good food. Family room was good. Our only gripe is the 2 fold out beds we were given for 2 adults, would have been ok for kids.

Stopped here en route back south from the Orkneys. The food was fabulous and was accompanied by a great beer selection. Very nice room too, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended,

* Edited to add that Bruce the manager has been in touch, provided a sincere apology for this experience and assured me they have now made changes to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future. They have also offered us to return to see the changes put in place. *

Came here for lunch, trying to give MacGregors another chance after a very disappointing visit to their restaurant in Inverness. Made the reservation over the phone. Turned up to find out yet again no chef on so limited menu (similar issue to Inverness!). This was a SATURDAY afternoon! Limited menu because of this. My wife is Gluten feee and made this clear to the waitress. BBQ chicken labelled as GF on the menu. Food came, my wife just checked as the chicken was breaded. Turns out it DOES contain gluten. Waited 20 minutes more for non gluten chicken to come and gave up. Yet another disaster and very annoyed. Twice MacGregors have almost made my wife ill.
