Little gem on the outskirts of carlisle. Packed full of wildlife including small birds and Grey squirrels. Great for a relaxing walk for a couple of hours. Small car park at the entrance. No parking fee or entry fee. Can get muddy in places so good walking boots or wellingtons would be a good idea if the weather has been wet prior to your visit.

Excellent walk ESPECIALLY if like myself your interested in Railway Heritage. Built on the LMS Kingsmoor depot. Many signs informing you what was what back in't day!

A good nature walk for all ages, its a couple of miles around but isn't too intensive, you can make it longer or shorter if you wish, very clean with no dog mess at all,

It's more a dog walking site than a nature reserve. But a Very good dog walking place it is. We followed the Oak trail just over a mile round trip Robyn loved it.

Great walking in the woods , lots of birdsongs. The mesh on all the wooden walkways need attention as they are a accident waiting to happen! THE HEDGES near the busy road need reinforced to stop people,or dogs running on the road.

thoroughly pleasant hour wandering through the reserve. stopped and sat on a bench for a short while. there a few steps if you go up to the end and round the extra bit. saw lots of butterflies and bees. can see that it would get muddy and a bit slippy in wet winter weather but it's winter what do you expect!

A best spot for nature lovers. Don’t expect some adventurous activities. A good place for soft walk. Sometimes you can see squirrels. A lot of birds, fallen trees, large trees, forest clamminess you can feel.

Lovely little wood for a walk with the dogs and children. Got stacks of blackberries, kids climbed some trees and ???? ???? ???? enjoyed exploring. There's lots of different options for walking - makes it seem a lot bigger than it is. Can get muddy in winter so take your wellies.
