Loved it here, park the car and walk around the reservoir or in the forest. Toilets and tea van in the carpark and info about the area. The walks are stunning, we loved it here.

car park charge £4.75 for all day, cash only. toilets are clean. free street parking available at around car park. it is a good place to start hiking such as Macclesfield forest, reservoirs, Shutlingsloe hill and Tegg's Nose country park.

Beautiful scenery, plenty parking. Bear in mind its a hilly terrain, reservoir views are lovely, couple of nice country pubs close by offering fresh food dishes.
Beware of the midges, mozzy's & the odd Horsefly ????
Otherwise yes a great day out for rambling etc

I have been going to the forest since the early 80s and I am pleased that people use the place, but over the past few years many more people have discovered the lovely views and the Leathers Smithy pub, but the last 2 years have seen a huge increase in people and traffic which makes parking difficult/impossible at weekend's and the quite stroll is gone, drowned out by the shouty people racing off-road bikes, and a recent walk was spoiled by the mountain biking trio riding on a rutted narrow footpath clearly marked, but the arrogant cyclists said that they didn't give a "$#*¥ about it and ride where they want" charming * . So we go through the week when there much fewer people like today.

This is a great place for a walk. Several colour coded walking routes, from easy to strenuous. It's a beautiful area with wonderful scenery. Only downfall at the moment is some paths are partially closed due to fallen trees, making you unable to do a circular walk. Apart from this, it's a lovely place. Trentabank car park is pay and display, but there are plenty of marked bays on the road which are free parking.

This is the start point for a walk i have wanted to do for quite some time (shutlingsloe, Known locally as the Matterhorn of Cheshire) excellent parking at maximum of £4.75 per day, (cash only no card) there are also spaces available on the road as well but parking outside of the designated bays will entail a parking fine. basic toilet facilities are available.
lovely walk that is very well signposted and relatively easy to complete given the amazing views available from the top of Shutlingsloe

Not one to review car parks but…. You could get caught short, it’s a great spot to start your walk from coffee and food from the vendor, toilets and off road parking. It’s £4.75 for all day or £1 per hour but it’s cash only. I know these machines aren’t cheap but most won’t have change these days and parking patrol don’t mess around especially if your parked illegally on or off road.

not a bad car park toilets on site and parking for about 20 cars picnic area just behind the toilet block big information board to tell you about different trails you can walk car park is pay and display and its cash only sometimes you mite be able park along the side of the road for free but need to get there early or be lucky to get a spot on the day we went there was a food van that sold a range of fresh cake hot and cold drinks and hot and cold food
