Nice hidden gem. The way in is not very inviting but the area is neatly maintained with stone corridors for easy walking and lots of gates to the oasis palm tree and canal areas. There was no water in the canals at the time I visited. Place was also quite void of people without few exceptions. Might be good place to jog in.

Al Jimi Oasis was improptu visit for myself with family and friends. While waiting for opening of Al-Ain Museum palace on Friday, we just googled this site and found it to be very interesting.
At the door one security guard was present, who told us that this place is managed by local baldia (municipality) and has no enterance fee. We were astonished to find that the whole place is restored version of 300 year old residence of local people - how they used to irrigate the land and guard their houses and culitvating land. There are water channels and date trees with barbed walls, small living rooms. We were astonished to find modern toilets, cooled water dispenser, fan in working condition for guests to stay in a room. On thatched roof at the enterance with old fashioned carpet made out of palm tree leave was also on display. Due to presence of the thatched roof, place was very cool.
We visited the cultivation land and ate varieties of dates which were hanging from trees. Took lots of photographs.
You can take cooked food and eat under the thatched roof.
It is a nice place for picnic specially during the months when temperature is less.
