A picturesque & peaceful spot, of great historic interest - the seat of the Knights Templar in Scotland. Sadly, the ruinous church is presently screened off behind ugly metal fencing with 'dangerous structure ' notices, so it is not possible to access the interior - but still well worth a visit.

Lovey place but the temporary fencing protecting entry to the ruins is unsightly and ruins the experience.

A lovely old kirk with lots of history, currently in a sad state at the moment and fenced off with overgrowth slowly taking over. The graveyard has plenty of old interesting headstones and the building itself has a few interesting mason's marks and details in the stonework, particularly near the bell housing. There is a fund set up by some locals trying to raise money to restore it, donate if you can. Parking is tricky with a small narrow road to access it.

What a lovely place to visit in our walk from Gorebridge to Temple - if you like old churches and gravestones that is!

Beautiful little place to visit....just be sure to park respectfully as very small roads.

Kirk itself is fenced off with dangerous building signs but still a lovely spot to visit and interesting gravestones.

Isolated, quiet and historically important ruins. Well with a visit if you have an interest in the Knights Templar.
