I'm writing this 4 days after I arrived in Newcastle. Still no sign of my bag, even though the airline has traced it to NCL airport 3 days ago. For the record I've never seen a human sat at this desk and there is no info to direct customers. The only option is to walk around looking for someone who works for Swissport... then when you find them they don't have any clear answers. The best I got was, "yeah, we're too busy to answer the phone, we've got like 200 bags in there and only two staff..." perhaps an explanation why but it's a complete joke having to wait this long without my work equipment because of bad management.

Absolutely no help whatsoever the staff working for Swissport. My Daughter filed a missing luggage complaint and we were not given a pir number as were not told we would need this to claim through insurance. Can not get to speak to anyone and have left around 40 voicemails now to no avail. TUI, swissport have literally washed their hands on our situation no one wants to help ???? Jobs worths the lot of them. 1 star is far too generous!

Horrendous customer service with zero common sense. Absolutely terrible this Newcastle Swissport. They should have been kicked out by the airport authority for their disgraceful and unprofessional service.

It took an HOUR for our bags to arrive. With ZERO updates from the crew. One member was obviously very annoyed and stormed off from another group. Atrocious and the worst timeframe I’ve ever had to deal with. Our plane even vanished from the board!!! With still zero updates!!!! Shocking service from Jet2 and Swissport combined. I’m not from the UK, but it was so shocking.

Abysmal customer service. Landed in NCL and my luggage had been left behind. Was told I would receive a Lost Luggage Report and that the baggage would be forwarded to me.
It's now been more than two weeks, still no baggage, no report, and ZERO communication from Swissport - despite leaving multiple messages and sending several emails. Unacceptably terrible service.

I had the worst customer service, even Ryanair can do better. As a disclaimer I was flying with KLM and I arrived in NCL airport when the check in desk was close but that would not be a problem if I had my boarding pass! No one form KLM company was there only one guy form Swissport who offered to “help” me. Even if I explained the situation he refuse even to contact someone from KLM and he started to blaming me, basically call me irresponsible. ???? At least KLM assist me through the phone and I rearrange my flight in the end.
For future advice do some extra seminars for customer advising in this company, be helpful please!

Newcastle Airport, absolutely terrible sercvice by Swissport, 2 hours to retrieve cases, an hour the second time.
They need shutting down.

Worst baggage handling service/set up by far. I am afraid Saturday was Newcastle airports last chance I will be using Leeds or Doncaster from now on. Got our main bags in good time but then spent the next 35 mins waiting for our skis/snowboards as did many other travellers.
Not only were three flights arriving and using the same belt but they also used that belt to deliver the skis/boards.
Of all the airports this is the only one I have come across that use this unsuccessful system .
I would also like to add that all this occurred on the back of a very efficient flight during which the crew got us home early from our holiday, pity their efforts were let down by the airport.
