Learn a lot about UAE history throughout this palace. Scenic venue, friendly staff, and admirable collection from before and after the union.
However, I can understand why this place can be dull if you're not really into history.
To me personally, it gave me insight of the past life of the country's leaders.

This is one of the nicest museums in Al Ain. Very well-maintained with very welcoming staff. Looooove the parking lot!!! Great view of the skies too.

Qasr Al Muwaiji has played an important role in the history of the United Arab Emirates and represents a fine example of early 20th century mudbrick architecture. It was built in the time of Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Zayed the First (r. 1855–1909) and his son, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan. Later it became the home and administrative base for the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founding Father of the UAE, when in 1946 he became the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region. His eldest son, the late H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was born at Qasr Al Muwaiji two years later and spent much of his youth there, learning from his father.

It was here in the rooms located in NW Tower where H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the second president of UAE (2004-2022) spent much of his childhood. On 4 January 2010, the world's tallest man-made structure, originally known as Burj Dubai, was renamed the Burj Khalifa in his honour.

The Three towers
The towers at the three corners (NE, NW and SE) served purpose of protecting the settlements and Muwaiji oases from roaming bandits. In times of attack the large central courtyard was used to shelter the people from raiders.

Haya assisted us very well and she seemed very knowledgeable about the field. She also gave us pointers to what other historical sights to go visit on Al Ain and other significant land marks.

The museum also gives you lots of information regarding the day to day live during the time and things the late Sheikh did during his stay there.

Bookmarked Qasr Al Muwaiji for an office trip. It is a wonderful place to dive deep into Emirati Royal life before and after the union. Seeing the exhibits and artifacts from the royal family was great, and going through the royal rooms brings a great perspective to life back in the day.

A very well-organized exhibition showcasing the history of UAE & AL Ain in particular. The focus is especially on the Second President of UAE, HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed, Qasr AL Muwajii is his birthplace and also seemed to have played a major role in shaping the amazing person he was. May his Soul Rest In Eternal peace....

Qasr Al Muwaiji is one of the forts of Alain..depicting the emirati royal life..Everything is restored, except a tomb where sultan's childhood and memories are preserved and depicted through high tech videos and quotes on walls..Some artifacts are also preserved..Huge spaces around with palm trees..Ample parking and no entry fees..
