The meat is tender and juice. the salad is delicious. the staff is friendly and the location is exeptional

Posting this a bit late but phew, what a nightmare. Took us 30 minutes to just find the place, tucked away in unassuming corner of The Souq. The outdoor views are great from the restaurant. The Harrira soup was great. Probably the only good thing on the menu. You'll soon see that this is about where the positive reviews end.

The breads came in cold and tasted stale. When we got down to the AED165 buffet with ALLEGEDLY 15 cuts of meat, we felt scammed. There were hardly 5-6 cuts that came to the table, 30-40 minutes apart. The "buffet" was shocking. It was a quick 'throw in' of all the possible leftovers thrown into one dish. Without even exaggerating. I'm talking Arabic mandi rice, brazilian beef, store bought frankfurters all dumped into one plate, atop each other. What?

We didn't sign up for this. The meats were dry and underseasoned. Tasted stale. Didn't even see the rest of the "cuts", a.k.a chicken or seafood come to the table. It was a challenge communicating with most of the wait staff as they didn't seem to speak English. The drink came in an hour late, and not as described. When confronted, they blamed everything and everyone from their suppliers to the weather.

Oh and there's more, they are cash-only and don't take credit cards.

Thank God for the Shisha that got us through the evening. How can good 'ol barbeque go so wrong?

Not coming here ever again. Save your money and go to Ola Brazilia instead!

worst restaurant I know. Beware of scams, there will be more on offer than is actually available. is. Meat was tough and dry.
I will never go to the restaurant, MC Donald’s will be better.

My experience through this restaurant as below:
5 star for spectacular view.
5 star for the service and for friendly staff.
2 star for the quality of the BBQ food
( Honestly and with all respect it's better to change the chef or let him work on himself more before serving)

????Recommendations to the management:
- Increase the varieties of appetizers and salads.
- Some beef burned from outside but inside
Need more time.
- Always keep charcoal ready.

The top package 165 Dhs supposed to have 15 cuts and types of meats, includes drinks and discount on Shisha.
We received only 3 types of meat in a span of two hours after calling the waiters many times, the meat was super salty and dry.
We didn’t see any sea food or any of the food advertised in the menu.
When we asked the manager, he apologized and said that that’s the cuts they have only.
We asked for the check and we were charged for the 15 types of meat we never saw, the drinks that were supposed to be included and the shisha was full price.
We didn’t pay the 500 because , after an argument we paid 307, complete rip-off
It’s a scam, DO NOT GO

Rio BBQ Restaurant @rio_bbq at The Souq, Qaryat Al Beri @soukqab , Abu Dhabi. Experience the best Churrascaria in town.

Beyond the boundaries of taste. They serve 15 varieties of juicy barbeque cuts, International buffet, unlimited salad bar, unlimited seafood..All for AED 165 only everyday.

Will you say no to a barbeque dinner paired with a delicious Grilled Pineapple??

They also have shisha for AED 45 only. This is the cheapest shisha in Abu Dhabi.

Love the service by passadores, I didn't had ask for anything, they were right there to serve us all the time.

They made sure safety and well-being of the guests is top priority, so they have implemented social distancing and additional hygiene measures in line with government guidelines and public health advice.

SCAM ALERT!!!!!

The worst brazilian bbq ever.

Out of 10

service - 1( freda was the only sweet waitress, all of the others had a Michelin chef attitude without even the standard of a beach shack)
Food - 0 ( mandi rice was topped off with some cheap beef sausage from baqala)
Varieties of bbq - 1( advertized 15 cuts but did not see more than 3 cuts which were super dry and salty)
Ambience - 1 ( they play Indian and english music in a brazllian place)

All the waiters keep bothering you, but they never serve any kind of food..

Sad experience....

I love my church. At the moment we are not worshipping there because of Covid restrictions, we are on YouTube. Usually the building is used for many things as well as "church". Hopefully soon we can return. Visit us on YouTube.
