This forest along the banks of the river is simply fantastic. The scenario of high trees (this is part of The Big Tree Country) and the colorful lake is something beautiful. You can reach the place either by bus (82 or 87, get off at stop Campsite, then walk) or by feet from (typically) Pitlochry. It's defined worth a visit if you pass by this wonderful part of the Perthshire's Highlands.

Paid parking kiosks, but the app was a little confusing. Make sure to have coins! Such a beautiful area, though. We had it all to ourselves!

A beautiful Forrest with two different walking routes (one short and one long).

A lot of time could be spent here just admiring the scenery, well worth the visit if you're in the area!

Visited for the Enchanted forest and all I can say is that it was absolutely brilliantly done! I’ve wanted to go for years and this was the first chance I’ve gotten to go. If you haven’t been, book your tickets and go asap!

Great well marked walks around here. The two marked walks.are great for family and dog walking. Aren't to far or difficult and have wonderful scenery. The water can be deep and plentiful so some dogs and children might need keen supervision.

We had our dog with us and didn't want to get caught up with the Easter Sunday tourists in Pitlochry. Parking at the forest was plentiful but make a note of where you've parked as the car parks look very similar!

There is a red walking route and a white route. We took the white route (2km) and were mindful that there were bikes also on our route. Our dog loved it but we only felt comfortable letting him off at the side of the water. He loved the water and the two km walk gave us all a work out. Note that the terrain is hilly and soft, therefore sturdy walking shoes are recommended.
