I was very thankful to be able to get a taxi last minute to get me back home after a stint in hospital last week, husband had arranged, he had been given a quote off what the journey would cost, and considering the tough times we were so thankful, cutting a stressful story short it turnt very quickly, when they tried to charge us nearly double the amount! Driver had been told what we were quoted and initially said "sounds about right", to then "well I don't know why you were quoted that much", my husband then payed slightly more than quoted anyway because driver said it wasn't their fault, but mainly wasn't ours and when given a quote by a business it should off been that, My husband called the office to try and get this resolved, the gentleman he spoke to was great and very helpful, my husband passed on his details for the owner to contact him as the whole situation seemed rather off but he never heard anything back.
Just quadruple check for if you are given a quote, caught off guard we just about managed to pay, we'd hate for this too happen to someone else especially if it was an elder person.

I've been reluctant to write this, as I booked Damo's Taxis on a friend's recommendation...but having never even received an apology, let alone compensation, I realise other potential customers need fair warning.
Instead of driving to Heathrow from Dorchester, earlier this Autumn, my partner and I decided to use a taxi - the flights were in the middle of the night, and as my mobility was limited while waiting for surgery, we also needed to be dropped off and picked up right at the door.
2am, waiting outside the house for the taxi to arrive, I received a call from the driver, explaining he expected to be at the terminal within 20 minutes - he'd mis-read the booking, and gone to Heathrow instead of picking us up. After vague excuses about the booking not having been logged correctly, he said he'd contact 'Damo' to organise another driver. After 10 minutes, he phoned back to say that there was no-one answering the phone and he didn't know of any other taxi service.
That was the last communication I received. I had hoped that human decency would have prompted 'Damo' to reach out - the subsequent saga to go to and come back from Heathrow was both costly and stressful - but I can only presume that customer service is not a priority.

Easy to get on with however
Cannot give 5 as unfortunately they do not inform you when they're outside

Tried Damos as a newish company near us offering taxis to Heathrow and return at a reasonable cost. Everything went smoothly. The drivers we had were careful and friendly. Would use Damos again.

Hi,
We were camping in between Dorchester and Bridport. It was a day before and It was rainy and storm through our the way goes home back by cycle to Dorchester. We called almost all local taxis to hire a van for safety return and only Demos accepts us.
Customer service and Driver was really kind with nice attitude. He helped us and reached to our destination safely.
They are also supporting local people.
Fully recommended and always support from us.

to start on a positive note the driver who normally picks me up is polite and kind and always on time now onto the negative point phoned today to book in for a taxi for 9.15 to be rudely spoken to by a women who clearly has no manors or respect for anyone to be told this driver was unavailable i responded with no worries will contact him and figure something out as was not prepared to be spoken to rudely for her to hang up on me not thank you for using damo's or even a thank you just hung up its safe to say i will not be using this taxi firm again as much as i respect the driver who always picks me up and this is most likely a 1 off incident i am not keen on taxi's and prefer to always have the same driver if hes unavailable say so dont be rude and disrespectful

sorry guys its been 1 to many times of her being rude and not polite like she thinks she controls everyone

My family and I used Damos Taxis to drop off and pick up from Bristol airport. Perfectly punctual and accommodating for a delayed return flight, I would certainly recommend and use again.
