Had a lovely stay for two nights with my boyfriend. The staff was very helpful and nice. Our room was super tidy and clean.

What a fabulous hotel, first class service, attentive, professional and welcoming staff and actually very dog friendly! We have stayed here several times now and we can’t fault it. Rooms are comfortable and have everything you need including fabulous views over the golf course. The staff are welcoming and can’t do enough for you, and we found staying with our dog to be so easy which is not always the case in so-called dog friendly establishments. The food and drinks are very good and great accessible walks outside the hotel and around town. Very good value for money whilst feeling like you are staying in a luxurious hotel.

I know this hotel is not geared to us or our needs, however I would expect more from a hotel that calls itself 5 star!
We are airline crew that ended up with a last minute booking here after a long day and landing in Prestwick.
We checked in around 23.45 absolutely exhausted after already getting up at 5am (not your problem, I know, but it was obvious we were devastated) and asked for a late check out at 12.45 as we were flying again the next day. Your night staff told us check out was 11am and maybe we could get it ‘if’ we asked in the morning! I’m sorry but you charged us £179 for each of us ( 3 people) for less than 12 hours stay and unfortunately we would not have any opportunity to use any of your facilities at all we just need a bed to sleep (for as long as possible!) When we pay this sort of money for this amount of time and you can see what we do and why we are here, I am sure you can be a little bit flexible on check out time for 3 rooms especially mid week.
On top of that no lift to the rooms and when I asked to change to a room without having to use stairs I was told one wasn’t available.
My room was pleasant & clean as expected however one very large window was lacking any kind of curtain whatsoever so at daybreak the light streamed in waking me up. Not ideal considering what I’ve already stated above.
I was given a disability room which I have no problem with if that’s all you have left, yet there was not a single surface/ shelf in the bathroom where I could place my wash bag/ make up bag/ products/hair brush etc. I had to put them all on the floor as your bathroom layout in this room is so basic. I’m not sure if that’s because it is a disability room or they are all like that but I found that a little bit shocking for this kind of standard of hotel.
Lastly I don’t think any 5 star hotel can claim to be that when they don’t provide a small basic fridge in the room!
I’m sure if you are here for leisure it’s a different story and very pleasant experience however please acknowledge your audience and try to accommodate, that’s what top class hotels do.

The view, as ever, was lovely. The afternoon tea looked nice. Disappointed however that the scones were not soft and moist. The bottled sparkling water we requested was flat. On the plus side they removed the water charge and the service charge but a big concern like this hotel should have been spot on first time.

Lovely hotel and great staff, a slick establishment. Although beautifully decorated the room was small for the price.
Our biggest gripe is the service charge on the bill for absolutely everything which is not made clear.
Always unsure as to who benefits from the service charge….

Vegan Friendly
Staff were terrific, couldn't have been more nice or helpful. Chef made an alternative for me to the vegan burger and it was delicious. Great views from the comfortable bar, restaurant and sitting rooms. Short walk from the train station - easy to get to.

My first impression was good, with the unusual decor. Staff were friendly and welcoming. However, if you stop in for food, think again!
Judging by what myself and friends had ordered, it was incredibly basic for the money we paid. The poor waiter (who was very pleasant), listened to our complaint, but nothing was done about it, with full charges on the bill. No management approached us to discuss our grievance. We were left feeling extremely exploited, and hungry! I have no intention of ever returning here. So folks, if you're hungry and like quality food, dodge this place!!

Just had a very relaxing couple of nights here. Our room was comfy, clean and had all we needed. Staff are very friendly and concierge very helpful. We found the food in The Rabit nice but over priced for what it was.
We would definitely visit again if in the area.
