Decided to use park and ride when going to see Coldplay 7th June.
Looked at the website to see times and it said it would be open from 09.00 with the first bus leaving at 09.30. Checked again the morning of the performance nothing had changed so decided we would get there for opening so we could make a full day of sight seeing. Got to Cardiff Football Club just after 09.00, no signage in the car park and no staff. We sat in the car until 09.30 and still nothing so my husband went into the stadium to enquire. Whilst he was gone I rang the council and spoke to a lady who said "thats strange it's advertised open at 09.00 etc, I will go and ask a manager. 10 minutes later she comes back and says she is sorry but they had decided to open it from 11.00 with the first bus leaving at 11.30" and that they are sorry the website wasn't changed. So now with 2hrs waiting we went and had a look at the out of town shopping.
We got back to the car about 11.10 to see people in high vis looking in the back of the car. Still no signage and the high vis wasn't branded. It turned out that these people were selling tickets for the park and ride out of the back of a car boot!! They could have been anyone. Anyway paid our £12 then got pointed in the direction of where the bus was leaving. Got to the stop just to see a bus leave at 11.15,even though they weren't running until 11.30. My husband enquired if that was the only bus to which a man in high vis said yes at the moment until more became available and that it was luck more than planning as they hadn't obtained any busses at all until the day before. We were a bit concerned at that point however when leaving the performance we did have a wait of 30mins,which we expected with an audience of 50,000 and they had 3 buses. The queue behind us though nearly stretched back to the stadium so I hate to think how long they had to wait. Very very poor planning and it's not the first event p&r you have done either. We never did anything we has planned to do so very disappointed.

Big let down this year. We've been going to the winterland experience in Cardiff for three years. Catching park and ride has always worked well, this year, absolute waste of time. Arrived at the park nice and early and told that the next bus was atleast a hour away. Decided not to wait and drove into centre of Cardiff instead. Absolutely no problem at all, easy to get to carpark, loads of parking. Definitely will do the same again next year, and wouldn't recommend park and ride

Lovely to park there £1 for parking buses always on time . So quick to get in to swansea down , also toilets there to

Was good but now the bus had been cancelled what a waste. Shame on the council and the government.

This one is not open Monday to Friday. Cardiff seem to be making it impossible to use park and ride. The one that used to run from the Cardiff City stadium is closed but the signs for it are still up.
