Embarrassing that this car park is the car park linked to Glasgow Central Station. The station is definitely a 4/5 star experience and a glorious landmark to Glasgow. The car park is smelly and extremely dirty , the car parking spaces are made for cars built in the 1970’s and if you’re parking your prize possession expect marks and scratches on your return from people hitting your car with their door trying to get out of their car. I have used this car park twice and on both occasions had terrible experiences.The first time when putting my ticket in to exit , the barrier would not rise resorting in me having to call assistance who after many questions insinuating that I had broken it eventually lifted the barrier remotely. The second time I was stuck in the lift for forty minutes and when calling for assistance and ringing the alarm,the operator kept putting the phone down on me. I was eventually rescued by the fire brigade by having to involve calling my family. Thank goodness I had my mobile and it was charged.
This car park is obviously not serviced or maintained and as it is used by the general public surely there are some compliance issues not being upheld.
I live in Scotland and if this is any visitors first impression of such a great country what a shame !

This car park made me feel unsafe, not just worrying about my car, but me as well! Security door left wide open, filthy corridors, and lifts that sound like they're about to electrocute you, or plummet to the ground! Abandoned cars sitting, issues with barriers. I could write a novel about why not to park here. It's worth noting that I entered at 10am and left at 7pm, so broad daylight (being late April), but despite this, I still felt wary. Couldn't ever imagine using this after dark. Park elsewhere - you'll get a better deal, even if it's more expensive. Safety is priceless, and this car park really needs work.

Tried to park here to collect my daughter & grandsons 2 weeks ago, just before 10pm, when an employee was closing 1 of the gates. I haven’t used the car park for a few years, so I asked if it was the Central Station car park & was told no.

For a car park that’s advertised as 24hr, this is poor performance from NCP. Reading some of the reviews below, it seems their performance smells just like the car park lifts.

Absolutely disgusting and filthy. Stairwells dirty and if you're lucky you'll see some used needles. Lift is stinking of pish and on the 2nd floor there was actual pish all over the place. Nearly £27 for 24h parking in there and the place has never seen a clean.
NCP should hang their heads in shame, this will be many visitors first impression of the city.

Gee it has been years but I used this station to get on a train north. I didn't have to park a car or anything like those who live nearby. I was just a tourist. I was staying at the Jury Inn and was able to get a cool picture if the station from my room. May the road rise to meet you!

Dirty, unsafe, expensive and tight spaces. Left the car parked overnight and cost me £26, rip off. Parking’s pedestrian entrance was not securely locked overnight and stairs were smelly. People had to cover their noses to use stairs. Car parking space is very tight. Entrance and exit was easy. I will avoid it next time.

Parked here purely as a local hotel had a deal for reduced overnight parking. It is otherwise expensive, very tight parking spaces, filthy throughout and desperately in need of a good jet wash in the stairwells. It is however very convenient for central station and that area of Glasgow and the lift's were reasonably clean and quick. With a bit of research you can find cheaper and better car parks in surrounding streets, especially if your parking for less than a day.

EDIT: We were stuck for parking so unbelievably used this NCP again. On returning to the car with friends visiting from overseas, we were met by people literally injecting themselves in the stairwell. Unreal, what a welcome to the city...

Parked on 2 separate occasions within the space of a week. In both instances upon trying to exit, we sat in a line of traffic at the barrier for around 30 minutes as the car in front couldn't get out due to an issue with his ticket. The 'support' staff were unresponsive and they wouldn't raise the barrier despite multiple requests to do so from several motorists to let out the large line of cars sat on the exit ramps. Nobody came to assist. Eventually it was raised, no explanation given That this exact scenario happened twice is either pure bad luck or just highlights the carparks shambolic management and customer service... I suspect the latter. It is also very expensive.
