Great place to take kids in this summer heat. It wasn’t very crowded so we had plenty of time to explore and enjoy. We loved watching divers feed the fishes. If you are there around 6 30 don’t miss it or plan accordingly.. Very clean and well maintained. Staff is very helpful too. We also took the glass boat tour but one can easily skip it. Not much to see from the top anyway and its very short..

It is a great indoor activity for the entire family. The layout is spacious, a good variety of water, land, and air animals to see. The ticket price for general admission is well worth it. It would be nicer if they have some shows or seasonal display/activities so that there's a new experience in each visit. It would also help if there's a more accessible toilet near the ticketing or inside the area.

Amazing place for kids and for all ages. You'll find for sure something interesting. For a small extra, you can do the "behind the scene" tour, which is very instructive and worth by itself the visit.

Not to be missed! I’ve taken my toddler twice and she’s had a blast running around and looking at the fish. The first time we bought the ‘all access’ pass but didn’t the second time, would say it’s more for older kids at least (boat ride was fine).

Definitely recommended and will return the next time we’re in town!!

We went during the Eid break, wasnt too crowded. The underground parking was a bit weird such that the common parking for the area made having to walk a good 500m to reach the aquarium. Informative for kids,

Cool place! Nice place to spend a hot day. You could be done in maybe an hour if you just passively walk through but my son and I spent almost 4 hours. We did the "beyond the glass" tour with Bahil and it was worth it if you are interested in where they care for the animals, treat the water, etc. We also did the puffin feeding experience which was also fun. Hanna was knowledgeable and good at coaching the kids to get the puffins to eat from their hands.

The National Aquarium is a good start when you want to learn and experience the history of the Emirates such as pearl fishing, etc... They put effort in making it a place of not just an aquarium with sea creatures in their tanks but also showcase their goal in preserving their resources and caring for sea animals. I am amazed on how they put touches of their culture in the displays.

The staff are also knowledgeable and engaging most especially to kids, Mr. Socrates was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. Although the place is smaller compared to other aquariums, no kids will get bored because they have interactive activities for them too. I personally like the sandbox which is a great way to incorporate fine motor skills into playing and imagining. It was also amazing that the birds are free to roam in one section. We have been to other aquariums but this is a new experience to us because we get to learn on how to protect and care for the sick animals in their in-house hospital and how they emphasize that it's also our job to care for the environment for it to be sustainable (though have to pay extra for this plus the beyond the glass experience).

The only downside is that food options are limited around the place. There are several restaurants and a food market on the other side of the building although walkable, too hot to cross the bridge to get food on a summer heat.

This aquarium is very nice and worth the ticket price! When we were there today it wasn’t too crowded so we had plenty of space to watch the animals and take pictures. It was nice that the information was in English and Arabic and I loved all the fun facts! My only complaint was at the end the prices for the pictures they took of us were 150, just for digital copies! If the ticket price is 110 then the pictures should be much cheaper than that!
