We attended as part of a large group. Lovely place, clean and lots of seating inside and out. Ample free parking. I had full English breakfast (£9.50). Not massive portions, but acceptable. I asked if I could swap the grilled tomato for something else and the answer was "no", so a little inflexible. I sat outside and watched the planes on the air field while I ate. Overall a pleasant experience.

This has always been a really friendly and busy airfield. There is a small young kids play area with views of the aircraft. There is a cafe also provided. The very friendly flight desk also allows enthusiasts to be escorted round the hangers for taking the numbers or photos.
There is usually an annual open day fly in (26/8 this year) which attracts many light aircraft all easily seen from the low fence.
Many airfields could learn from sherburn.

Highly Recommend Mr Jackson for a Flight Experience my children really enjoyed the afternoon very affordable and great fun. NYLE 9 year old was in the front seat and Mr Jackson let him steer the plane. The food was amazing too great quality.

Lovely sandwich and coffee. Best I've had for a long while. Floury slightly toasted teacake wit sausage and black pudding. Powered me and the cycle club back to Huddersfield.

Good Airport to Visit. Both Tarmac and Grass Runways, well laid out and a Good Cafe for refreshments for Pilots and the General public interested in Aviation.

Order drinks and never turn up after waiting 30 minutes. Teacake stale and £3-50. Not been the same since last people that run it left. After 2 years will not be returning, shame as we used to enjoy our visits.
