A small cafeteria who can satisfy middle class people with taste and cost. At this cost you will not get food anywhere else in UAE. Serving healthy food in proper quality and quantity. You will feel you are eating at your home. Must try.
Location - Behind Madinat Zayeed Shopping Centre, Airport Road, Abu Dhabi.

Zam Zam is as small cafeteria but with big servings. It’s a malabari cafeteria actually. Here you will get all typical Kerala dishes with very cheap price compared to other cafeterias. Most of the time the seats are filled and the main reason I think is, here the dishes are with minimum quantity and minimum price. I love the Kerala Kanji (rice ????) here.

I’m loving it!

Saturday when my friend and I were deciding on what to eat and decided to have real Kanji and I was like, will we get the real one in Abu Dhabi? Then he took me to this place!!!

You must visit if you are fond of your grandma food, mean to say those ancient touch of food essence.

Here you get the authentic original Kanji in a mud pot and with all the side dishes you used to have in your childhood days. Onakkamean was one of my fav specially Srav, mathan upperi, yum thenga chammanthy, achar manga uppilittath and a pappadam. All you will can refill with NO cost.

You get unlimited moru kept in the table in an another mud pot, the spoon here used is the one we had in 90s with coconut shell and bamboo stick as holder. The ambience of the restaurant is wonderful even they don’t have much space in their shop and the waiters at the shop are super busy in refilling the pots!

Two persons I was thinking while having this was my grandma, Me being her favorite grandchild and fed me whatever I want and prepared for me whenever I want, secondly the owner or the person behind this restaurant who wanted to serve such an amazing food for this little cost and refill it for free,

All you need to pay for this is AED 5 ????

After finishing this wonderful session I wanted to have a watermelon crushed juice, not the one we have from juice shop, so me and my friend keep on looking for it (this was an another big story I wanted to tell).
The real watermelon juice is another item should serve by this restaurant in this hot summer after having this hot kanji.
So please start...
