I had lunch here a few times. The service here is just wonderful and had great memories. We had deliciously spicy flavored beef Nihari , biryani, Mutton Biryani the taste still makes my mouth water!! ????????????Though the restaurant has a limited menu everything tastes delicious... The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. Best place for non veg lovers.... Must try!????????????????

The mutton pulao is awesome.. 10 AED parcel and 2 people can eat a fulfilling meal... no place to dine in, only parcel services..

Well located for the Abbey and just a hundred or so steps to the heart of Whitby. It costs the same as all the other council parking in Whitby so best take your credit card. It’s not owned by English heritage so sadly no discount. You pay 40p for the loos (or free if you got the YHA cafe or abbey shop). We tend to park here in peak season because there’s usually a space and we like walking through the abbey.

Loved our stop here. Definitely the best presented and most informative of the many museums and historical sites we visited. The church and town below should not be missed!

Came for the Abbey and this carpark here is a the bigger option of two carparks. Close to the entrance and public bathrooms (40p).

There's plenty of parking spaces, nice and big. No problem for SUVs. They're all under the sun though. Fees are fair - there's no free parking even for members though, but we were aware of that.

Surely your best bet to park your car when visiting the Abbey. Easy and quick.

A little pricey but where isn't on the coast. Great place to while away an hour listening to the sky larks. Close to toilet block and the Abbey entrance.

Not many accessible disabled spaces

High prices for parking on grass
£7 - 3hrs for a space to visit an Abbey

Can't stay overnight

Facilities were a mess and toilets cost a further 40p each to enter

DISGRACE THE COUNCIL SHOULD BE ASHAMED......

Expected Whitby Abbey Car Park to be free for English Heritage members. Unfortunately not, as it's a North Yorkshire Council (formerly Scarborough Borough Council) car park.

Very few options of parking times for day visitors: 1 hour, 2 hours or 6 hours.
Expensive parking charges too. Money I planned to spend in local businesses went on parking instead.

It's another way to put visitors off from visiting Whitby (as long-distance public transport to/from Whitby is already very poor).
