In need of some food and this place did the treat. Mains at £13 to £15, £5 for a pint, £3 for bottle of Coca-Cola. Order at the bar. Fairly busy and lots of locals.
A happy table overall and food came out after 30 mins. Thank you old station house inn. They do a self serve roast on a

Ordered the BBQ pork ribs and in one word it was… disgusting. I have never had such awful pub style food in my life.

Firstly, our food took nearly 1 hour to arrive. When it finally did arrive, I found a long, blonde strand of hair among the BBQ pork ribs I ordered. Secondly, the obviously frozen and reheated (not fresh) ribs were not cooked in BBQ sauce. They just came on a plate with an excessive dollop of BBQ sauce on top of it, and by excessive I mean the BBQ sauce was dripping off the plate and making a mess when the server brought it over. I paid £16 for this gross monstrosity. Stay away from the BBQ pork ribs, people. Seriously.

Lastly, the £11 pizza was tiny, about the size of a small plate, and clearly not made fresh. It looked like frozen microwave pizza.

We had dinner quite late and this was one of the only places open. If I had known how bad it would be, I would have preferred to have gone to bed hungry.

This place is overpriced and gross. Do yourself a favour and eat elsewhere.

The views and location are great, if weather is food then the play area is fantastic for kids.
We ate there and food was very well priced but you get what you pay for, we had 2 kids meals which were fine and kids ate them. But pizza and garlic bread with cheese were poor quality...... so recommend just stopping for a drink.
Staff were friendly.

This pub is fantastic. Food was really good and the views were lovely. There’s a nice warm fire in the back, the atmosphere is perfect. They even have a pool table in the back and a little tiny grocery shop for essential things.

Large sprawling pub with good car park and outside play area based on the disused railway station platform. Good basic pub grub menu but some supply issues made choices unavailable. Friendly staff, quiet but could see very large restaurant area where 'in season' guess it could become very busy. Seating area outside overlooking small goat farm field and lovely countryside views.

Delicious food, good sized portions, a little bit of a wait but worth it. The sauteed chicken breast was the best! Children's chicken nuggets were made of "real chicken chunks" as my daughter called it rather than the frozen stuff. Quick and friendly bar service. Great value.
They also sell fresh eggs and essentials, handy for local holiday makers.
Lovely outside area with views and a play area for children.

Popped in after a long days travelling when we came across it while driving past.
As previous reviewers have said, good no nonsense food. Large portions. Served quickly and staff helpful and friendly. Prices sensible. Great views across the countryside.
