Said to be one of the highest churches in England, the Church of St Mary in Betws Y Crwyn is a small medieval church from the 13th or 14th century, sitting around 1300 feet above sea level.
The timber screen and roof beams are 15th century, but the pews and pulpit are Jacobean. Each pew has the name of a local farm painted on it. Restoration of the church occurred in the Victorian era.
There is a small amount of parking near by but all access is along steep, windy single track roads.

Went to find a distant relatives grave and enjoyed the beautiful church and views of outstanding natural beauty.
