Definitely visit this little museum if you are in Croydon on the 2nd Sunday of the month. You do need to book ahead. The tours are run by volunteers. There is a voluntary £6 donation.

Great artifacts there and some wonderful photos showing the history of this important airport.

Make sure to stop and watch the VR tour as it really puts it all into context and to can see what the airport really liked like in its hay-day.

Find out why the Mayday hospital got it's name.

The little coffee shop Anita's is worth a visit too.

The rich history inside Airport House is amazing! The guided tour combines old photos and models, which help explain the building role within aviation. I loved the passion and enthusiasm of all the volunteers. Great job, everyone! #airporthousecroydon

Graham at the front desk makes the visit to Airport House so pleasant, always friendly, professional and easy going with us and our clients. Also very welcoming as a first point of contact, plus all the staff such as Cleo and her team are super friendly. Thanks SS Autos

I guess the historical building and the plane outside sets the tone. Parking is confusing here, do ask say the security guard for authorization. Otherwise the museum is currently open one day a month only. Some plane memorabilia is sold at the bank of the hotel next door, with charge to enter.
